Teeth Cleaning (Scaling)

Scaling eliminates plaque (a soft, sticky film filled with bacteria), tartar  and stains that have accumulated on the teeth over time. When plaque or calculus builds up on the teeth, it creates an environment where bacteria can flourish near the gums. The goal of the cleaning and polishing is to ensure the teeth surfaces are left clean and smooth, making it harder for bacteria to adhere, giving you a better chance to maintain oral hygiene during your regular at-home care routine.

How is teeth cleaning done?

An ultrasonic device is used to create vibrations that help dislodge larger pieces of tartar. It also emits a cooling mist of water to wash away debris and maintain the proper temperature during the process. Afterward, your teeth are polished to complete the cleaning.
